Smith and Wesson sales are smoking

Re: Smith and Wesson sales are smoking
Their sales are going to go up even more in about 1 month. Two S&W M&P
.40 compact pistols. Two M&P AR15 5.56. One each for the wife and one each for yours truly. Oh yea, and a bunch of high capacity mags to celebrate our first communist president. :s9: |

Re: Smith and Wesson sales are smoking
Springfield Armory is an IMPORTER.
was Brasillian for a while, newer stuff coming out of Croatia I think. |
Re: Smith and Wesson sales are smoking
Smith and Ruger are probably the largest USA handgun makers. I have a Kahr made in New England, it makes a real nice hide out gun. I have had it for ten years now and it has never ever failed to feed, fire or eject. :ok:

Re: Smith and Wesson sales are smoking
They make lousy semiautos. Dont waste your money on one. Get a glock and rest well at night knowing you have a pistol that will fire when you need it to. Dont play around with crap.
Now if youre talking revolvers, by all means get a smitty. |
Re: Smith and Wesson sales are smoking
If your experiance is with a Sigma then I would agree. I currently have a full size .40 M&P and it functions without fault, the same as my Glock 22 .40 cal.
The Sigma is for poor chumps, the M&P is their real pistol. I wish they would just trash the Sigma. |
Re: Smith and Wesson sales are smoking
Thanks for the list, EE!

Re: Smith and Wesson sales are smoking
S&W makes all Walthers sold here in the USA in their factory.

Re: Smith and Wesson sales are smoking
I bought a 442 airweight a few months back.
Nice piece. Especially nice to have in when in bad areas and downtown. |
Re: Smith and Wesson sales are smoking
That S&W MP.40 calibur is a freaking sweet pistol...I love mine.

I prefer RUGER in the LARGE calibers and I believe they're USA made too. Super-Blackhawk for single action Super-Redhawk for double action Personally, I have the Blackhawk model in .44 with a 7 1/2 barrel which can be shot comfortably with one hand !.......now that's awesome. |
Re: Smith and Wesson sales are smoking
5000+ out of my M&P 40. After a once over to fix something I broke, it came back better than when I bought it.
All my Handguns are Smiths. Two Revolvers and the M&P for Social needs. I wish I could find a M&P15 in 5.56 for a good price. E-A |

Re: Smith and Wesson sales are smoking
I just bought a S&W model 60, 357, 3" barrel. I really like that gun. Just don't shoot any Magtech lead out of it. Very dirty ammo. 5 rapid fire shots and it puts up a cloud of smoke that really stinks. And the outside of your gun gets covered with a lead grime film. FMJ from now on.

Re: Smith and Wesson sales are smoking
Lets see off the top of my head:
Ruger - US made (AZ) Colt - US made Dan Wesson - US made (NY) Kel-tec - US made (FL) Charter - US made (CT) Jimenex (bleah) - Us made (NV) Smith & Wesson -US made (CT or Mass forget which) |

Then there's the S&W SW99, which is very similar to the Walther P99 -- Walther makes the frames in Germany, and S&W makes the slide and barrel in the U.S. So the relationship between S&W and Walther is a bit complex. |

And another S&W goes out the door...
I finally coughed up the dough and ordered my 329PD I have been wanting for a while now. The guy at the store located one in the lower 48 and mine is paid for and on the way. I wanted a lightweight .44 mag that I could carry with me when I'm outside messing around in the spring and early summer when all the brown bears are out and close by. We've had brown bears in our yard here at the house two years in a row now in the spring. And up at the cabin there are many brown bears within a couple miles, maybe 25 or more...sure a .44 mag isn't the best weapon for a brown bear but realistically you can't carry a rifle around all the time. I always have a bolt action rifle close by though. Either my 30.06 or .375 h and h. I'm not afraid of them because for the most part they just wander through...I'm concerned with making an unintentional error such as coming around the corner of a building and all of a sudden I'm between a sow and her cubs and it triggers her response to protect the cubs and attacks. Or I may not be aware that a bear killed a moose nearby in the woods and I walk by close enough and it triggers a response to protect their kill. Those are the two situations that concern me the most. Other considerations are sometimes I don't want to hike with a rifle, I just want a handgun. Or having the .44 mag with me in a tent would be a heck of a lot more convenient in case I needed it. http://www.gunblast.com/SW329PD.htm this one was on our deck last year looking in the window before it moved back to the yard and wandered away...we did not use to have so many brown bears, the population growth is something that has just happened in the last few years... i have no intentions of shooting a bear unless i had no other options...we like looking at them... .... |
Re: Smith and Wesson sales are smoking
^^^^^^^That's freaking AWESOME!! I would love to live somewhere where my back yard looks like that. Don't know if I would feel safe letting my boy play out there though..........He might become bear food!
